Many of QR Station Indicator boards are Visual Display Units (VDU's) which display the train's destination and their stopping pattern.

Here are a row of VDU's on the concourse of Brisbane's Central Station.

Robina Station has only been in use for a few years after the opening of the Beeneleigh-Robina Gold Coast line extension.

Robina is the terminus ("Dead-end") of the Gold Coast line.

As noted in the above caption, Robina station on the Gold Coast line is the terminus (Dead-end). This photograph shows the dramatic end to the extension which has only been in use for a few years.

Cooroy Station on the Sunshine Coast line is 130km from Brisbane's Roma St station. 

Located in the middle of know where, the station only gets 2 services a weekday in both directions (Also TravelTrain services such as the Tilt Train and Spirit of Capricorn).

In Nambour, 110km away from Brisbane's Roma St station, there is a sugar cane tram track which follows in the centre of some busy roads.
